Canon EOS R5 #1

I’ve been shooting just a bit now with the new Canon EOS R5. Mostly indoors on the tripod in a very controlled environment. I have all the in camera settings done and have modified a few of the buttons and dials to my liking. I don’t have any of the RF lenses just yet so have the EF lens adapter on the camera body so I can use all my EF lenses. The downside to this is basically I’m still shooting with the Canon 1.6 crop factor and not taking advantage of the full frame. Some things I can tell I don’t already like about the camera. The electronic shutter is basically just too quiet. It’s difficult to tell if you’ve actually taken the shot or not. Also, when in mechanical shutter mode and the exposure is set and I switch to electronic shutter the exposure changes to about 2 stops under exposed. Not sure what’s going on there as yet. I have a separate button assigned to turn focus eye detection on or off. I’ve also programmed the control ring on the lens for changing the focus mode. I do like the feedback in manual focus mode indicating that exact focus has been achieved at the focus point. No more guessing. I’ve not done any video as yet so I can’t comment at all on the known over heating issue. At some point I should play around a bit with this. But other than having the capability of capturing higher quality stills from 8K video it seems rather pointless. Not even sure I have any video editing software or a computer that can render 8K video.
